The Women's Foundation of Colorado
For 20 years, The Women's Foundation of Colorado has worked to help Colorado's women and girls achieve equality and economic selfsufficiency. The Foundation's mission is to build resources and lead change so that the women and girls of Colorado are full and equal participants in society. Their primary goal is that every woman in
Colorado is economically self-sufficient, and every girl in Colorado is on the path to economic self-sufficiency.
As a part of their statewide mission, The Women's Foundation has funded several organizations in Grand Junction including Girls on the Run and Chipeta Girl Scouts. On April 19, the local Regional Steering Committee for the Foundation is holding an Honoring Women
Luncheon at Two Rivers Convention Center. This year's luncheon will honor Betty Bechtel a local attorney and strong role model for women. This event promises to be a celebration of the contributions of local women to the Grand Valley and will be a part of the Foundation's 20th Anniversary year-long activities. The luncheon tickets are
$40 per person. Opportunities for corporate and table sponsorships
are available.
