Colorado Discoverability
Colorado Discover Ability (CDA) is a non-profit organization that provides outdoor recreation to people with disabilities and youth at risk and we at RE/MAX 4000 are proud to sponsor the Duke Robillard benefit on January 19th. CDA brings together people with disabilities, at-risk youth, their families and their friends to experience the freedom of rafting on the Colorado River, kayaking on Lake Powell, skiing at Powderhorn, and other outdoor activities. Thanks to top-level instruction and training provided by certified ski instructors and licensed river guides, all participants receive opportunities to improve their physical abilities, take on fresh challenges and acquire new skills. There are eleven categories in the Special Olympics' alpine skiing competition, including walk and glide events, sit-ski competition, giant slalom, and slalom races. Colorado Discover Ability (CDA) is proud to be hosting the local Special Olympics Colorado team as they prepare for the regional & state competitions. Training, equipment and facilities are provided by CDA at no cost to participants. Make a Difference CDA strives to provide a place where people from disparate communities can participate in outdoor recreation as independently as possible, regardless of his or her disability. Your support is what makes this program a success. We need your assistance and all our participants thank you for your help. Donations and volunteers needed.
