Mesa State College - Expanding Opportunities 2005 Mardi Gras Gala

The Mesa State College Foundation works to expand the educational opportunities available at Mesa State in a variety of ways.

* The Foundation's ability to increase available scholarships is essential to the College's goal of offering a high-quality education at an affordable cost.

* Support for cultural programs such as the Music at Mesa series and Theatre performances is supplemented by gifts to the Foundation.

* Gifts to the Foundation provide academic support for a variety of campus-wide needs, such as faculty development and research, departmental and program support, and honoraria for guest lectureships.

* As the college continues to increase in enrollment, the physical capacity of the campus has been stretched to its limits. Support for capital projects has provided funds necessary for land aquisition to expand current facilities and funds necessary to upgrade and equip existing and new facilities.

* On February 26th the Foundation will hold its 27th Gala. This fund-raising event is made possible by sponsors, such as RE/MAX 4000 and is an important way for the Foundation to expand the opportunities available to students. Great food, wonderful entertainment and exciting silent auction items make this event as fun as it is beneficial to Mesa State students.
