The Power of Working Together

An early snowstorm in the Rockies caught a number of travelers by surprise last month. The unexpected brings out the best in people in every community, and the Grand Valley is no exception. We reach out to help our neighbors across the country when a disaster strikes, and we reach out to help our own community knowing that the unexpected can happen at any time. We want others to be able to get emergency food and shelter, have access to health care, and be able to care for elderly parents because we know how quickly things can change. Donors to United Way of Mesa County contribute to the health of the entire community by allowing their contribution to be allocated annually to programs serving the health and human service needs of Mesa County. REMAX 4000 is proud to be part of the United Way campaign, and encourages others to contribute to a healthy community by participating in a workplace campaign, or volunteering as an allocation panel volunteer, or for one of the many programs serving the less fortunate in Mesa County. Like the weather, life is an adventure that is often unpredictable. Being prepared for change is important, but being able to help those who need it carries its own special reward.
